About Me

I'm a U.S. Marine Corps veteran - Sergeant (E-5), MOS 1345 Engineer Equipment Operator - who served during Desert Storm and Desert Shield. I earned the Navy Achievement Medal for managing the MDSS II computerized tracking system and conducted briefings for senior military and allied officials. That experience shaped the discipline and attention to detail I bring to every system I manage.

My IT career began at Stanley Associates, where I installed, configured, and supported the Army War Reserve Deployment System (AWRDS) for the U.S. Army across the United States, Europe, and Southwest Asia. On April 3, 2000, AWRDS became part of the Permanent Research Collection at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History and received the Computerworld Smithsonian Award. I then spent nearly a decade at CitiStreet managing SDLC projects and building back-end database solutions.

After leading secure federal deployments as a Crew Leader for the U.S. Census Bureau, I moved to Kennedy Space Center with Space Gateway Support, where I served as Chief Security Officer reporting to NASA for system security plan compliance and managed Windows Server infrastructure with a NASA security clearance. From there, I spent six years at Sentia BV, managing business-critical Managed Cloud Services for major European enterprise clients - Achmea, Rabobank, Pizza Hut, Deloitte Digital - across ISO 27001/ISAE 3402-certified private, public, and hybrid cloud platforms.

Currently, I'm the Lead IT System Administrator at Steamroller Studios, a VFX and animation studio producing content for major entertainment clients. I'm the sole IT administrator responsible for the full infrastructure stack across two business units - spanning 40+ production servers, 350+ workstations, and a creative workforce of 250+ users. I designed and maintain a full Ansible automation platform (70+ roles, 36+ playbook templates), operate Zabbix and Graylog SIEM monitoring, and manage a multi-tier backup infrastructure with automated weekly restore verification across 38 targets.

I studied Computer Science at the College of Charleston and am a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and Sybase Certified Developer.

Outside of work, I'm passionate about self-hosting, homelab infrastructure, and automation. My homelab serves as both a learning platform and a production environment, hosting over 20 services that I use daily.
